ST COLUMBA FALLS

One of our favourite short walks is to the magnificent St Columba Falls in Pyengana.

Follow the high quality track, through cool and shady rainforest to discover a stunning tree fern forest and one of Tasmania's highest waterfalls. This great trail is suitable for most people with no bush walking experience required. A moderate level of fitness is needed with a 600 metre walk each way (approx 20-30 minutes return) and an uphill walk to return to the carpark.

Where: A short 30 minute drive on the A3 from St Helens, then take the C428 "St Columba Falls Rd".

Sorry, no dogs or bikes allowed on this walk. Check out the Parks & Wildlife Service website for an overview of the walk.

While you are in the area, don't miss the Pyengana Dairy & Holy Cow Café and the Pub in the Paddock.
